Older Homes vs. Newer Homes

We are finding a new trend in Wellington FL... many young families are opting to look for homes offering 1/2 to 1 acre+ with older homes as opposed to the newer gated communities. The older communities with land offer low or no HOA fees which is appealing to the growing families.

For a while this market was stagnate and not appreciating...but now we are finding such a demand for neighborhoods like Meadow Wood of the Landings, Pinewood, Pinewood East, and Paddock 1 and 2. This gives the families the opportunity to renovate for the newer kitchens.

Also, with our sandwiched generation, we are finding families that have their parents living with them, especially with our South American influence in Wellington. A demand for a guest house is huge, normally these communities are the ones that can accommodate such a design. Homes that come on the market with a guest house sell extremely fast because of the demand.
